【Tonkee Machinery Co.,Ltd Compilation】Volvo Construction Equipment recently launched a new EW200E material handling van for waste treatment. At the same time, its series of products, the EW240E material handling van has also been updated and equipped with new and longer straight arms.
Volvo Construction Equipment's material handlers are designed and manufactured in Germany and can provide maximum reliability, flexibility and productivity in waste and recycling applications. The new EW200E material loader weighs 22.6 tons and is powered by Volvo's fifth-stage engine-provides 129 kilowatts (173 horsepower). This machine has a straight arm of 5.5 or 6.25 meters and a gooseneck arm of 4 meters, with a forward extension of 9.3 or 10.0 meters.
Volvo CE has also introduced a new 7.25-meter straight arm to its existing EW240E material handling van, which combines with the existing 5-meter long gooseneck arm to bring its range to 12 meters.
Specially designed for waste disposal
EW200E Material Handler is based on decades of outstanding engineering design and designed for waste disposal applications. Thanks to sharing mature components with the EW240E material handling van and other existing Volvo wheel excavators, Volvo spent a lot of time perfecting this new machine to meet specific waste disposal work requirements. This smaller-sized material handling van is based on its big brother’s established design, and also has a series of new features that have been rigorously tested under actual living conditions.
The EW200E material handler is designed to maintain high productivity and efficiency, and is equipped with a specially adjusted hydraulic system. Other improvements compared to standard excavators include hydraulic lift cabs, four stabilizers (front blades and rear legs are standard), all-rubber tires and tailored straight arms that can be installed with a 4-meter gooseneck arm or a 3.5-meter sorting arm. The Volvo material handler can be ordered at the factory without steering columns - allowing the operator to control the entire machine using only joysticks.
Factory-installed auxiliary circuitry allows the sorting grab and orange peel grab to fit perfectly with the Volvo machine. These accessories are available through the Volvo distribution network- - Suitable for both material handlers.
The boom floating function and boom cylinder shock absorber improve performance by minimizing vibration and fixing the grab in place for improved stability. For accuracy, the grab control and soft swing systems work together while the optimized hydraulic system provides instant response.
Comfortable distance
Operators can work comfortably in the spacious Volvo cab, which can reach up to 5 meters from the ground. The cab also features a double-dampened cab bracket that reduces noise and vibration and keeps operating stably during high altitudes.

The joystick control concept, the first in the EW240E material handler, now enables the legs, blades and cab lifting without removing the hand from the joystick. Both material handlers are equipped with adjustable arm-in-limiting, designed to prevent collisions between the cab and the grab. The height limiting provides further safety for indoor operations. In addition, operators are now more in- and out of the cab due to the brightly colored handrails and added steps on the legs.
EW200E material handling van can not only be tailored to the work at hand, but also have a variety of options according to the customer's work needs. The Volvo cab uses large area of glass to provide a full range of views. To further improve safety, customers can choose between Volvo smart field of vision or integrated polycarbonate windows. For convenience, Comfort Driving Control (CDC) gives operators the opportunity to turn the machine to 19 km/Hour. All of these features are available on the existing EW240E material handlers.
E represents efficiency
As the leader, the operation method of the EW200E material handling truck is both clever and fuel-efficient. The automatic idle function and the automatic engine shutdown function together help reduce fuel consumption. The ECO mode of the EW200E material handling machine can be turned on automatically, enhancing its functions, improving fuel efficiency and reducing machine wear.
To keep running, the EW200E material handler is designed for easy maintenance. Lubrication points for all E-Series wheeled excavators are concentrated, and the filters are placed behind large open engine doors that are accessible from the ground. Maintenance becomes easier by improving access to areas such as pump chambers.
