Since this year, my country's water conservancy infrastructure construction has achieved positive results. From January to March, 21,600 water conservancy projects were implemented nationwide, of which 6,034 new water conservancy projects were started; 198.81 billion yuan of water conservancy construction investment was completed, an increase of 2.9% year-on-year.

8 new major water conservancy projects have been started, with the investment scale exceeding the same period last year. From January to March, eight major projects, including the management of the Qinghai section of the main stream of the Yellow River, the supplementary management of the main stream of the Nenjiang River, the management of the Zhangwei Xinhe River, the expansion of the Laoshikan Reservoir in Zhejiang, the Heishui River Irrigation District, the Anhui River Alley Irrigation District, the Hunan Water Irrigation District, and the modernization transformation of the Qingtongxia Irrigation District in Ningxia, were started, with a total investment scale of 43.73 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 27.8%.

Data shows that in recent years, my country's water conservancy construction has continued to make efforts. In 2024, 47,000 water conservancy projects were implemented nationwide, with an investment of 1.35 trillion yuan, exceeding 1 trillion yuan for three consecutive years.

In accordance with the national water network construction plan, by 2035, the overall national water network pattern will be basically formed to achieve optimal allocation and efficient utilization of water resources. With the continuous deepening of the application of new generation information technologies such as digital twins, Internet of Things, and big data in the field of water conservancy, smart water conservancy and green transformation have become the development direction. It is estimated that by 2030, the smart water conservancy market size will reach 80 billion yuan, and the ecological water conservancy investment will reach 250 billion yuan.

In the next 10 years, a large number of water conservancy projects will start construction, and the market size is expected to continue to grow to about 5 trillion yuan. Under the influence of multiple factors such as national policy support, social capital participation, and technological innovation-driven, the water conservancy industry will usher in a golden age of development.

The large-scale earthwork operations brought about will directly drive the demand for equipment such as excavators and dump trucks; embankment construction provides a broad place for pile machinery, concrete machinery, cranes, road machinery and other equipment. At present, various engineering machinery companies should actively occupy a place to seize a larger market share.
